…according to New Scientist writers, at least.

Their list includes a few I’ve read — including “Lena”, recently mentioned here — and more that I haven’t. But several include links where the story can be read online.

Any favorites they missed…?

Asimov once said that his favourite own story was “The Last Question”.

Whenever I see a New Scientist posting, I’m reminded of this great exchange between Neil deGrasse Tyson and Richard Dawkins.

“Omnilingual” by H. Beam Piper needs to be on such lists — it should be part of the middle school canon.
