Robert Heinlein short story predictive efficacy

While many of the stories, collected in the anthology , The Past Through Tomorrow, have predicted accurately various tech and politics; I bring to your attention the 2 stories- If This Goes On, and Coventry. Combined these stories are very relevant to right now politics and the possible end of our republic.

Thanks, ZenCosmos! This is some Heinlein I hadn’t read.

If This Goes On – “shows what might happen to Christianity in the United States with mass communications, applied psychology, and a hysterical populace.”

Conventry – “In a future American society, everyone must accept the Covenant of non-violence, and psychologists can “cure” criminal or violent personality traits.”

An Amazon reviewer notes of The Past Through Tomorrow:

…the 1967 edition with the blue striations on the cover is complete, while the two later printings in 1975 and 1986 had dropped the short story “Universe”. Consider getting the original print if you can.
